DocuScan:
Gen AI Legal Document Analysis Platform
DocuScan is a generative AI-powered legal analysis platform designed to streamline document review by automatically identifying and extracting critical terms such as due dates, termination clauses, payment terms, auto-renewals, penalties, fees, and so on. By eliminating the need to manually sift through boilerplate language, it enables users to focus on the most important contractual details. The system processes uploaded documents page-by-page using a selectable Visual Language Model (VLM), which can run locally (via Ollama) or in the cloud, and returns extracted critical terms with their surrounding text, along with concise per-page summaries. Leveraging generative AI technology, DocuScan itself was partially developed using the very same technology (via Cursor and Claude Code), resulting in advanced automation for enhance legal workflows.
